Since 1892, State Fair Park has played a significant role in our Valley’s history and culture, starting with promoting the region’s agriculture commodities with the only State Fair in Washington to becoming a year-round venue for many family-friendly activities. Located in the heart of Yakima, the park like 135-acre complex is home to several historic century-old buildings and venues for rodeos, racing, professional sports, concerts, and other events.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer, the SunDome is the Park’s indoor stadium for sports and entertainment events and the ground’s signature building, even featuring a ring of reflector light art encircling the top of the dome and visible from around the city. The Park’s signature event, the Central Washington State Fair, is a 10-day, fun-filled extravaganza entertaining 300,000 with something to see and do for all ages. The Park now operates year round providing families with fun activities, venues for hosting public or private events, and even high school graduations.
