Wine and Romance are the Focus of February Events in the Yakima Valley

February 03, 2017

For over two decades the Yakima Valley has been host to the growing Red Wine and Chocolate tasting event.  Local wineries organized the event to stimulate business during their slower season and it now draws thousands of visitors to their tasting rooms each year.  This year Red Wine and Chocolate will take place February 18th-20th with over 25 wineries throughout the valley offering pairings, music and other promotions. Hours are typically between 10am and 5pm.

To kick off the Red Wine and Chocolate weekend, the Yakima Country Club will host the second annual Secret Crush on the evening of Friday, February 17th. The event showcases the highest rated wines from our Valley – wines that have achieved 90+ points as well as double-gold medal winners. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with winemakers and experience an interactive wine tasting with some of the Valley’s most prestigious grape growers.  The award winning wines will be paired with appetizers and attendees will gain insights about the flavor profiles of wines produced from grapes grown in the Yakima Valley American Viticulture Area.
