Get Your Motor Running

The Yakima Valley’s rugged landscape is a perfect backdrop for a wide variety of motorized pursuits.  Head off-road and discover the excitement you can find in the Valley's diverse terrain.  Nearby mountain passes offer ideal escapes for those who crave a little speed (or a lot)!.  The region's backcountry beckons with miles and miles of groomed trails that weave in and out of mountainous slopes. Local enthusiasts and club members work together to create and maintain motorcycle and ATV trails for public use.

The region's rural byways and extensive road network provides a great setting for organized motorbike tours or simple drives  through the countryside.  Several motorcycle clubs have chapters in the area so it is easy to hook up with people who share a passion for the open road.

Auto racing is also popular in the Valley.  The Yakima Speedway and Renegade Raceway offer NASCAR series contests, drag racing, and a variety of stock car and touring series.  Auto shows also attract crowds.  Each year over 15,000 people visit Yakima for the Vintiques Street Rod show.  The Vintiques show is complemented by many other specialty orantique car shows held throughout the year.
